LIC Assistant Administrative Officer Selection Procedure
- Phase I: Preliminary Exam (Online Objective Test)
- Sections: Reasoning Ability (35 Qs), Quantitative Aptitude (35 Qs), English Language (30 Qs)
- Duration: 1 hour, no negative marking
- English section qualifying only
- Candidates approx. 20 times vacancies shortlisted for mains.
- Phase II: Main Exam (Online Objective + Descriptive Test)
- Objective test (300 marks): Reasoning, General Knowledge, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Insurance & Financial Awareness.
- Descriptive test (25 marks): English Language (emails, reports, précis, situation analysis).
- Duration: 2 hours for objective, 30 minutes for descriptive
- No negative marking
- Qualifying marks specified per section.
- Phase III: Interview
- Marks: Maximum 60, with minimum qualifying marks
- Candidates approx. 3 times the vacancies called for interview
- Final selection based on Mains + Interview scores.
- Normalization:
Scores normalized using equi-percentile equating method for multi-session exams. - Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination for selected candidates.
Exam & Interview Instructions
- Valid call letter along with original and photocopy of photo ID is mandatory.
- Mobile phones, electronic devices, calculators, smart watches not allowed inside exam venue.
- Biometric verification (thumb impression/iris scan) and photograph will be conducted at exam and interview stages.
- Use of scribe allowed for PwBD candidates (visually impaired, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability with specific conditions) with compensatory time.
LIC AAO Service Conditions and Salary
- Pay Scale: Rs. 88635 onwards (7th CPC Level 7).
- Benefits: House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Defined Contributory Pension, Special Allowances, LTC, Gratuity, Group Insurance, etc.
- All India service liability; postings primarily in mofussil branches with minimum 5 years stay.
- Probation: 1 year (extendable to 2 years).
